 I want to clarify that I am not stating that my view on ethics is right or yours is wrong. Everyone has different beliefs. This is why I DONT BELIEVE IN LABELING ANYTHING AS “ETHICALLY SOURCED” because that is subjective depending on who you ask.

I source my insects from companies who farm them.

Pros-Provides income to 3rd world countries.

Opens the job market for the poverty communities in those countries.

The breeding & release of these insects in their regions help repopulate certain species in that region.

Cons- Insect culling in mass quantities.

🪲 Bones/animal parts:

Local Roadkilll

Legal Hunters & trappers 

Pest control

Farming & livestock natural deaths(still births & failure to thrive)

*I do not hunt nor trap animals.*

I do not support animal poaching & animal mills. Please know the signs of inhumane animal poaching. Mass quantities of animals are killed in other countries for the purpose of resale.

(Snakes, Cats, Minks, Racoons, Racoon dogs, Fox, nutria etc)  Although you can acquire these animals naturally and humanely, please be aware that sellers on Amazon and Etsy and Facebook sell these in MASS quantities and all look the same. These are most likely bred & killed in mass quantities or poached from their wild habitat and killed. Always look to buy from small sellers who process their own animals.

🦇 AND ALWAYS REMEMBER, ANY sales of Bats is not Humane. Regardless of what the seller claims. Please do lots of research on the poaching and sales of bats. Some people are able to aquire licensing from zoos and sanctuaries which is HIGHLY RARE & unlikely. But those who have the license should provide proof with seal.
